The journal accepts original manuscripts in the field of political science, recent political history and international relations at the e-mail address politica.slovaca@savba.sk.
From issue 1/2023, it is possible to submit a manuscript to the journal through the Open Journal System. The transitional period (sending by email/via OJS) lasts until December 31, 2023.

Publishing of articles in the journal Studia Politica Slovaca is free of charge, the editors do not require any fees from the authors for publication.
After receiving the manuscript, the editors assess the fulfillment of formal requirements. Once completed, the paper is submitted to an anonymous double-blind peer-review process. The author is informed about the result of the review procedure through a review report, the conclusion of which may be as follows:
- the paper is recommended to be published – the text is submitted to the Editorial board for review
- the paper is suitable for publication after minor revision – the modified version of the text is forwarded to the editorial board for review
- the paper is suitable for publication after a fundamental modification of the text – the modified version of the text is sent again to the reviewer, who formulates his final recommendation on the publishing / non-publishing of the paper; in the case of a positive statement, the text is forwarded to the editorial board for consideration
- the article is not recommended to be published – the article is rejected and will not be published.
After the review procedure, the paper is evaluated by individual members of the Editorial board. The paper may also be returned to the author for revision based on the comments of the members of the Editorial board. The publishing of the paper is decided by the Editorial board at its meeting by voting.
